Besides the Mini Air Conditioner ACM61R, which is standard equipped with sprinloaded checkvalves, is now the KL121RV Air Conditioner also available with optional springloaded check valves.
RMF Systems has introduced this unique feature to meet the industry's demand for heavy duty desiccant breathers with long desiccant life. Typical applications are large gear boxes, wind turbine gearboxes or hydraulic power packs.
The KL121RV Air Conditioner is part of the heavy duty range of desiccant breathers offered by RMF Systems.
It is constructed from a fully injection moulded body, a spin-on air filter and stainless steel centre tube. The body is so rugged that it is suited for all applications such as heavy duty mobile, mining or industrial applications. The air filter is a 3 micron fibre glass replaceable spin-on filter. The stainless steel centre tube protrudes from the base and has a 1 1/4" BSP male connection, to which a variety of adaptors can be fitted.
Spring loaded check valves
A unique feature of the Heavy Duty KL121RV Air Conditioner are the spring loaded (0,01 bar) check valves fitted in the base in opposing directions, opening only whilst inhaling or exhaling. This way there is no atmospheric contact with the air and the Z-R gel under static conditions which increases the life time of the drying gel. There are four (4) valves for inhaling and four (4) valves for exhaling.
Long desiccant life
Due to the valves in the base, the KL121RV Air Conditioner is particularly suited for applications where a long desiccant life is required. Typical applications are large gear boxes, wind turbine gearboxes or hydraulic power packs. Applications where regular wash downs occur are also very suited to the KL121RV Air Conditioner.
Please note the following: Installing an Air Conditioner with spring loaded check valves may cause an over- or under pressure of approximately 0.01 bar (10mbar) inside the reservoir. For the large majority of gearboxes and hydraulic reservoirs this is no problem. In case of doubt please check with your equipment supplier that this pressure is acceptable.
